1. Giáo án Tiếng Anh lớp 4 WEEK 35TH Thursday, May 13th 2021 Period 135: Unit 20: What are you going to do this summer? Lesson 3 - Period 6 4.Read and complete. 5.Write about the plans. 6.Project. I. Aims: Review: Asking and answering questions about where someone plans to go and what someone plans to do. Develop: Listening and writing skills. Language focus: - Vocabulary: review about activities words - Sentence patterns Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, word cards, pictures, puppets. Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks. II. Procedures: Warm up Let’s sing: You are happy in summer holidays! 4. Read and complete. - T guides Ss how to do the exercise. - Ask students to read the text and write the missing information in each number. - Ss look at the sentences in part 4(p69), guess the answer to blank - 5 Ss respond the answer. Others give comment. - Look at the text(p69) to find the suitable phrases to write( activities, ...). Key : 1. Ha Long Bay 2. a nice hotel ( by the sea ) 3. swim ( in the sea ) 4. a boat cruise 5. ( delicious ) seafood 5. Write about the plan for your summer holidays. - Guiding Ss how to complete the exercise. - Tell Ps that they are going to write a short paragraph about the plan for their summer holidays. They may use Activity 4 to help them. - Read the suggestion questions and write themselves in individual. - 2 Ss write on the board, 6-7 Ss read aloud the sentences they have written.The rest of the class listen & give comments. Key : Ps’ own answers 6. Project - Introduce the situation:plans for summer holidays. - Explain how to do the exercise: make sentences to introduce: I am going to ... - Ss act out in front of the class. Develop: 4 skills. - Ss look after, solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. II. Language focus - Vocabulary: unit 16-20 - Sentence patterns: unit 16-20 IV. Resources: - Recording, tape and pictures, student’s book , Workbook V. Procedure Warm up: Net work game. Activities Plans to go 1. Listen and tick - Guide Ss to look the pictures, listen and tick. - Ss look at the pictures in part 1(p70) to identify the similarities and differences among them, guess the answer to tick. - Listen three times and tick the answer that they hear. Then write the words that they heard. Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner - 4 Ss respond the answer. Others give comment. - Listen again and check. Ss retell what they have heard. - Check and correct. 2. Read and circle - Guide Ss to read the text, circle and complete the sentences. - Read the text and the sentencesin silence and do the task independently. - Compare the answer with the partner - 4- 6 Ss respond the answer. Language focus - Vocabulary: unit 16-20 - Sentence patterns: unit 16-20 III. Resources: - Recording, tape and pictures, student’s book, Workbook IV. Procedure Warm - up: Greeting. 1. Read and match. - T introduces the topic - Ss look at the sentences in the book - Ss read and work individually. Ss do the task (match the sentence with a appropriate picture.) - Compare the answer with the partner. - Ss report their answers, the other give the comment. Keys: 1.d, 2.e, 3.a, 4.b, 5.c. 2. Write the answer Tell Ss that they are going to write the answers to the questions about where they are going, using the pictures cues. Give them afew seconds to look at the questions and answers and identify the words they need to complete the answers. Ask Ss to do the task. Go around and offer help, if necessary. Have Ss trade the answers in pairs for correction Call on some Ss to report their answers. Others listen and comment.
