Objectives: By the end of this lesson, Students will be able to: - Find out and say correctly the new words that they have learnt - Pronounce correctly ‘th’ in these words: feathers, brother, grandfather, grandmother. - Listen and tick correctly II. Teaching aids: teacher’s and students’ book, cassette, CD . III. Procedure A. Warm up:Play the game: Matching: words with pictures 2. Point and say: - T asks Ss to look at the pictures and give comments. - T asks Ss to point at the pictures and say the words, focus on pronunciation. - Ss practise in pairs or group: one S point at the picture and other S say the words. Assesment: Go around and observe Point and ask Ss say (focus on Pronunciation and stress) - Some pairs represent in front of the class with real objects that prepared by T. 3. Chant:

Leson plan 2 Yen Ho primary school - Ss read and give comments for the chant. - Ss listen and repeat line by line. - Ss listen and repeat whole the chant. - Ss read aloud the chant and clap personallly, in pairs or group Assesment: Go around and observe if Ss read correctly and beautifully (focus on pronunciation) 4. Listen and tick: - Ss observe pictures and comment. - Ss point at each pair of picture and say aloud the words in English. - Ss listen and tick in the correct picture. - Ss check the answers in pair or group - Ss say aloud again the answers. - Note: If Ss can’t hear clearly or can’t do the exercise, teacher may let Ss listen to the recorrding again. That’s my brother - Write letter ‘th’ correctly and skillfully. - Fill in the blank correctly. - Sing the song beautifully. II. Teaching aids: teacher’s and student’s book, projector, CD, pictures III. Procedure Warm up: Ask students to sing: Family fingers A. Basic activities 5. Let’s talk: - T asks Ss look and give comments for the pictures. - Ss look at and say aloud the words in English. - T aks Ss to read aloud the sentence patterns: Who’s that? That’s my grandfather - T asks Ss to work in pair or group to practise the sentence patterns. Assessment: Go around and observe ( focus on pronuciation) 6. Look and write: - T asks Ss to observe and say what they have to do. - Ss write th - Ss fill in the blanks with ‘th’. - Ss check out their results in pairs or group. - Ss read the letter ‘th’ and then point at the pictures or words and read aloud.

Let’s sing - T asks Ss to look and say the content of picture - Teacher plays the song: + students listen + stop each sentence in the song and asks sing along + students sing in chorus - Divide class into three groups and song. Which group song are good, that group is the winner.
